"Hi, we're an independent folk rock band. We're putting our music out into the internet to see what people think. If you like it we'd love to read about it on 75orLess. Hell, even if you hate it we'd like to read about it. But if not, we're happy just to take this chance to introduce ourselves and let you know that we have a NEW record in the pipeline to be released by the end of the year"

"We have a summer mix-tape for you! It’s our first release since our 7” vinyl single, which came out a year ago. The delay was caused by drinking, playing shows, shooting guns, blowing shit up, breaking limbs, recording, skating, fireworks, drinking, eating french fries, forgetting things, movies, fighting each other, rock n roll, going to shows, and drinking. Tell all your friends; they’re going to want to know. And remember to play the songs as LOUD as humanly possible!"   7/18/12

"His heartfelt delivery and soothing, sexy voice give way to easy lyrics and a lighthearted sound. The song is an indie, pop-infused offering that allows the listener to roam and reminisce. It's a perfect song to listen to while driving with the top down or while you're at home after a long day. He adds to his music with percussive guitar and slightly more aggressive bass and drum arrangements. His music captures his audiences by connecting with them in a very real way." 7/25/12

The album consists of 11 ripping tracks and a bonus instrumental track. You can feel the raw emotion in every track throughout the album. Fueled by insightful lyrics the album acts as a personalized social commentary for the band members who each have a hand in the songwriting. 7/25/12

This seemingly undiscovered gem of a band express a kinship for folks who have been run thin by society. Fans can surely tell these guys were raised on a bit of classic country and bluegrass, as well, but are putting their own updated-americana spin on what lies deep in their roots. It would be tough to deny that listeners find themselves stuck with unstoppable toe tapping throughout a solid listen. It's a mix of slow, grooving, rootsy jams blended with songs tunes that can place one's soul to two-stepping at a honky tonk in Texas. The traditional instrumentation and bold sound sprawls throughout the hearts and minds of the wise, wealthy, and weary alike. Offers a sound that is diverse yet familiar, where old friend darkness is never too far away.  7/24/12

"have created a superb follow-up, a jewel of a collection with songs and poems gathered from dusty old scores and brought vividly to the present with warm performances full of flesh-and-blood emotion"

"is an ever evolving artist that continues to defy genre classification by consistently producing music that is both impressive and eclectic. The newest single is a subtle, pop-infused jam that is reminiscent of a sunny day lounging by the pool. It’s the perfect background to a hot July day, with his smooth vocals gliding over a slow-molasses style beat, the guitar fluid as a summer breeze making a track that the repeat button was designed for.  The bridge builds to an electrifying guitar solo, backed by the ever swaying bass that keeps you moving from beginning to finish.  It tells the story of a love kept secret that is intensified by his talent at crafting lyrically seductive songs.  All the elements combined together for an effortlessly sexy song that is a distinct new direction for the progressive artist."  7/17/12

"It started with a single drawing in his notebook. An ominous, triangular mountain made of geometric shapes, vaguely resembling a skull. He started drawing lots of them, carelessly and quick. A bleak and desolate place, cold and sharp as anything. In early 2012, it was decided that this would be the setting for the new album. Much like the drawings, with it's maniacal grin: the music is detailed, though off kilter, morose, but enthusiastic, everything all at once. This new record is another step in his ongoing pursuit of classic pop filtered through a modern lens, deliberately more focused in it's aesthetic than any of his past releases. Elements of power pop, jazz, chamber music and garage rock are fused by infectious melodies and ornate vocal harmonies. Add that to ample brass and string arrangements atop an aggressive rhythm section with most of the 17 songs flowing seamlessly into one another, and you have an album that demands to be played on repeat."  7/18/12

"describes the new songs as acoustic guitar melody gently rolling like a little strawberry floating in your drink. Being influenced by nothing in particular has paid off, as many have had trouble pinning the sound down as anything other than “immaculately arranged and paced” and “attractive music for attractive people.” Thus again proving that just because you’ve heard a song by The Cure or Neil Young, doesn’t mean you have to ape it shamelessly to gain wide acceptance.  Shortly after the release of their forthcoming single, igniting not only the blog world, but the interest of the uninformed few who might have missed him the first time, by paying homage to no one but himself, his band has become one to watch in 2012. Whether it's strawberries, cocktail umbrellas or ice cubes in your drink on a steamy day, this is a record for drifting through hazy summer days and into dancing nights." 7/18/12

"is a 6-song EP/album promo that sounds like 90's alternative rock, post-grunge, grunge, indie rock, and modern rock. Like the element of the same name, the band is unique, solid, and powerful. Four young musicians possessing passion, creativity, and most importantly - chemistry, came together in 2009 from central Louisiana and have built a strong local following, but with their grungy-rock-alternative sound, are beginning to emerge beyond the local scene. We're submitting this for review because we're extremely pleased with the way the EP turned out (we hope others enjoy it as much as we do!), and we want as much feedback as possible and for people to take notice of it!"  7/17/12

This is a folk-rock album drawing influences from Tom Petty and Bob Dylan. The production sound is reminiscent of Robert Plant's new albums and Steve Earle's as well. Songs are acoustic-guitar driven with bass/drums/electric guitars/harmonica/piano filling up the sound.

The most interesting parts of his story involve his earlier years, as a teenager, when he studied and became a licensed Evangelical minister and started his own church, as he had already brought his family and others around him into Baptist living. A long and thought-out crisis of faith led him to leave all religion behind around the same time that he was in the process of searching for, and meeting his biological parents.  His New York Times puzzle-worthy family tree has led him now to have an adopted brother in his 60's, and an infant half-brother about to celebrate his first birthday.

"... evokes a longing for simpler times -bare feet in dry grass, childhood adventure, and sexless crushes. From cover to content, themes of life-giving pollen and decaying dust permeate, dragging a hazy film over a burning sunset that turns a beach into a beautiful silver lining of an apocalypse aftermath. All of this gives way to an Indian summer that demands romance and a coming-of-age that threatens to shatter innocence or encase it in a glass prison to preserve it eternally."

"I know you must get an untold amount of submissions for review, but maybe you could see it in your hearts to review our little record. We made it ourselves with our own hands, our own gear, in our own studio, with our own money - no kickstarter or nothin' and we think it's pretty good, but we're looking for unbiased, brutally honest reviews -which is where you come in. We would describe our sound as a melding of all of our influences to create a mix of singer-songwriter sensibility with seemingly straight ahead rock hooks built from chords and melodies that you wouldn't always expect - often with alternate tunings helping create unique sonic elements. We're influenced by bands like Wilco, Placebo, The National and Death Cab for Cutie. No, we will not ever say that we sound like nothing you've ever heard before, but we do think we have created a recognizable sonic aesthetic and continuity on our latest recording."

A disturbing sound of Moog Taurus III, such a strange siren announcing an improbable chaos. Electronic beats pounding like a flickering architecture. Bright guitars, clean as a refuge in which one you could hide yourself until they become saturated furies. Anxiogenic layers of synthesizers sounds that recall an old haunted and disused warehouse... Wild, intense, emotional, sometimes even brutal, it's like a reflection of a terrible truth that is about to be revealed: Complex.

"I've a brand new band here and just wanted to whack over their sexy album over for review consideration.  They're so new we've not even written their first press release yet!  Do you think you, or one of your lovely team, could write up something in the form of a review for their album?"

"is about to turn lives upside down with the release of their new 6-song EP. With success biting at their heels, they step outside the box of typical indie rock to deliver catchy hooks, driving rhythms and to create progressive rock n' roll laced with pop, dubstep and electronica. The trio stepped away from the traditional aspects of an indie rock band tapping into the dark side of rock, incorporating a passion for dubstep and electronica to create a style all their own. They relish their unique, unparalleled sound and the inability to neatly fit into any genre. The band delivers a blend of blissful pop, heavily-distorted rock music, and the bombast of modern electronic dance music, all punctuated by her tortured, emotive, and always-soaring vocals."

"Our sound has most commonly been compared to My Bloody Valentine and The Cure.  Any review, article, mentioning, or anything else would be greatly appreciated.  I am available to answer any questions you might have.  Thank you for your time and enjoy."

"The three grew up together and found punk music in an area where it wasn't readily available and they put together DIY punk shows at the local community center to expose more people to it. Influences include Dead to Me, Cobra Skulls, Run Forever, The Menzingers, We Are Scientists, Descendents, Alkaline Trio, and Propagandhi.  I don't mean to talk your ear off, but I hope you enjoy our album!"

"We just released our full-length. We did all the recording ourselves and have been working on it for the past few months. Our goal was to go for a mix between Modest Mouse and The Menzingers, taking pieces from the indie and punk genres, as well as using a slightly experimental sound on some tracks"

The concept behind the name is about imagining the type of person you want to become, and designing your life towards her or him.  Taking notes from the likes of Sonic Youth, Fleetwood Mac, Animals and Men, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Spiritualized, 90's punk band Hickey, CAVE and others, they draw inspiration and influence from disparate sources. And since the band's inception, situations have transpired, people were motivated to get up or get out, landslides shifted the conceptual mindscape...but adaptive by design, their pirate ship keeps sailing. And their music, no doubt, embodies that sentiment.
